The loved ones of teens lost after a tragic inferno at a venue in a Switzerland's winter destination are confronting an excruciating period of uncertainty for official news and pleading for clues about their children publicly.
The inferno ripped through the a popular bar in the alpine resort, located in the Alps of the Valais region, in the early hours of the first day of the year. Circulated footage depict the roof structure catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.
Officials have warned that it could take considerable time to identify the those who perished of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and wounded another scores more. Officials stated on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been identified, with efforts still underway to name the remaining few.
In the meantime, families and friends have been posting on the internet to plead for information about their friends who were at the bar that evening.
Desperate Searches for the Unaccounted For
